The Data Collaborative for Justice seeks to expand academic research and literature on important criminal justice issues, particularly for lower-level enforcement, which historically has received little academic attention relative to felony offenses and more serious crimes. In 2018, DCJ put together a special issue of Criminal Justice Policy Review, that was the first social science journal issue focused exclusively on the criminal legal system’s response to lower-level offenses.
