Division of Criminal Justice Services

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) provides resources and services to local law enforcement, researchers, and other agencies to enhance public safety, inform decision-making, and improve the criminal justice system. Data provided by DCJS were used in two reports from Phase I of the Misdemeanor Justice Project: Trends in Misdemeanor Arrests in New York and Tracking Enforcement Rates in New York City 2003-2014.
