On November 19, 2020, DCJ Policy Director Erica Bond joined Shadoe Tarver (Save Our Streets) and Taryn Merkl (Justice Program, Brennan Center for Justice) on a panel moderated by Marlon Peterson (Precedential Group) to discuss what data and research can tell us about recent criminal legal system reforms, the recent rise in shootings and homicides in New York City, and successful, community-based approaches to addressing violence.

The related report released by DCJ on the projected effects of the 2020 bail reforms, and a summary of key findings, can be found here: Assessing Potential Impacts of 2020 Bail Reforms in New York City
