Trends in Admissions to the New York City Department of Correction, 1995-2015

This report examines trends in admissions to the New York City Department of Correction, which manages the jails in New York City.  Individuals may be in DOC custody for a variety of reasons – they may be charged with crimes and awaiting trial, serving short sentences, or being held on warrants.
